The Ferrero Group owns Blue Bunny and they have a line of items called Load’d Sundaes. One of our readers consumed one of these products and became very ill so they wrote to us complaining about the ingredients.
THEN vs. NOW: Shown below, when Blue Bunny Load’d Sundaes were first introduced they were made with real Ice Cream >> the package read, “Tons of toppings buried in soft ice cream” — below left. Now, these products are not made with real Ice Cream; the ingredients have changed and Ferrero had to legally drop the Ice Cream designation and call it Frozen Dairy Dessert because it does not meet the legal definition of real Ice Cream.
