BODYARMOR LYTE beverages are primarily Filtered Water. Following is a close-up look at what’s in BODYARMOR LYTE Strawberry Banana Flavor. There is no real Strawberry Juice or Banana Juice in the ingredient list. Rather, the product contains “Natural Strawberry Banana Flavor with other Natural Flavors”. This drink also contains other ingredients we would never use at home in a beverage such as two added Gums and two FDA-recognized preservatives. It is sweetened with Allulose and Stevia. Aside from the different added Flavors, Colors and Gums, the basic ingredients are the same for all varieties of BODYARMOR LYTE.

All BODYARMOR LYTE beverages do not list real fruit juices in the ingredient list >> no surprise given that real fruit juice contains multiple calories. However, the basic BODYARMOR — below left — also does not list real fruit juice in the ingredients. The ingredients for these two products are basically the same with the exception of the Sweeteners and the inclusion of Guar Gum in the LYTE version — below right.

BODYARMOR LYTE is sweetened with Allulose + Stevia while PepsiCo’s Gatorlyte is sweetened with Sugar + Stevia. Gatorlyte is banned at Amazon-owned Whole Foods Market for Artificial Color Red #40..
